Ky Chang graduated from the Hotel and Restaurant program at UH and dreamed of one day owning his own restaurant. His passion was to somehow incorporate cooking and teaching the underprivileged youth. He got saved in 2002 and realized that God had different plans for him in the meantime. Ky always loved children, and it was God’s perfect timing that a children’s ministry started at the time he was looking to serve in a ministry. He’s been serving in JCS for the past 7 ½ years as a Sunday school teacher and loves every minute of it. God also led him to be a part of the New Life staff even though it was in the total opposite direction of his passion.

Ky has continually trusted in God by having faith in the scripture Philippians 4:6-7. This reminds him no matter what kind of circumstances that he’s in, that he can always pray to God for peace in his heart and mind.

Ky loves spending time with people, cooking, and all sports.
