PASTOR CHAI

Dr. Chai was born in Korea in 1944. He came to the U.S. in 1970 to do graduate work in Electrical Engineering at Ohio State University. After receiving his PhD, he worked at a research laboratory in Northern California for 9 years, publishing 25 papers in various scientific journals. He was raised in a Christian home, but fell from the faith after entering college. He met Christ in a personal way while in graduate school and became immediately active in ministry. At the age of 41, he felt that he was being called to a full time pastoral ministry, and he enrolled at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, obtaining an M. Div. degree. After serving as the Minister of Education at his church for several years, he was called to serve at Seoul Baptist Church of Houston in 1993. He converted the then 14-year-old church to house churches and has served as its senior pastor since then. He leads numerous seminars and conferences and has authored several books on the House Church. This is his first book written in English. |
