Congratulations on becoming a member of our church family! At our church, we ask all parents who are members to serve in the New Life Kids (NLK) parent rotation on a quarterly schedule (total of 3 months out of the year). This fits our Children Ministry’s vision of having parents directly involved in their children’s spiritual growth. Our desire is that parents will be the primary disciplers of their own children as Scripture calls them to be. Thus, we would love for you to join us in our vision. Because we believe that parents are called to be directly involved in their own child’s spiritual lives, we have decided that our parents will serve in their child’s room once every four months for an entire month.
Parents
Deuteronomy 6:4-9
4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
Background Check
A background check is required for all volunteers working with our children. Please fill out the form completely and return it to Pastor Chae via e-mail or place in his church mailbox located underneath the main stairway.
Classroom Strategy
This is how we would describe our strategy to make our vision come alive: Yellow + Red = Orange
By combining the critical influences of the light of the church (yellow) and the love of the family (red), we get a new color “ORANGE”, which signifies the next generation who will dare to live for Christ. Thus, Church + Home = 2 Greatest Influences in a child’s life.
Preschool
- Orange Room (2-3 years old)
- Yellow Room (3-4 years old)
- Green Room (4-5 years old)
Our preschool classes are created to teach the Word of God in a fun and engaging way. We have interactive praise, fun crafts, animated story time, and even tasty snacks!
We desire that our nursery children begin to understand the following:
- How the individual stories from the Bible connect to God’s big rescue plan (i.e. the Gospel)
- Why the Gospel has the power to change someone’s heart
- God’s love is the source of their heart transformation
Nursery
- Purple Room (0-1 year old)
- Red Room (1-2 years old)
Our Purple Room and Red Rooms provide a learning environment especially suited for children aged 12 weeks through 2 years old.
We believe in an active, hands-on approach to learning with infants and toddlers. You can plan on a lot of jumping, singing, dancing, and laughing in these rooms.
We desire that our nursery children begin to understand the following:
- God’s big story of rescue
- God loves me
- God made me
- Jesus wants to be my friend forever

Elementary
- Blue Room (Kindergarten – 5th grade)
In the Blue Room, we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be fun, and good leaders always care. We believe in Christ-centered teaching that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events and presents the story of redemption through Jesus. Each week, these stories come to life through video, music, activities, and more.
We desire that our elementary children understand the following:
- How the individual stories from the Bible connect to God’s big story of redemption (i.e. the Gospel)
- Why the Gospel has the power to change someone’s heart
- God’s love is the source of their heart transformation
